We know silicon.  We produce silicon metal (and related products), as well as solar grade silicon through our wholly owned subsidiary, Bécancour Silicon Inc. in Quebec.  Bécancour Silicon has been producing silicon metal for more than 30 years and has production capacity of approximately 48,000 metric tons per year, making us one of the largest producers of silicon metal in North America.  Our expertise in manufacturing silicon metal was the foundation for the development of our solar grade silicon product in 2007.
